You Teruah/Feast of Trumpets
NUM.29.1
Yom Teruah is a high holy day commanded by Yahweh to be observed. It is held on the first day of the seventh month of the jewish calendar, according to the moon. We are commanded to sound trumpets/shofar, to make a burnt offering (a feast over fire unto Yah), and to do no servile work. This is a symbolic feast for several reasons. LEV 23:23
As the Israelites left Mt Sinai with the tabernacle holding the seat of Yah, trumpets would be blown to gather or move the nation. They were also blown at times of battle for the promised land. Every time that Yahweh advanced, the trumpets were blown.
NUM 10:10
Joshua/Yeshua marched the warriors of the nation around Jericho 7 times while carrying the ark of the covenant. They blew trumpets, gave a loud shout, and the walls fell. This gave them access to the kingdom.
Yeshua tells us of his return as a conquering king. A key sign is that the angels will sound the trumpet, and Yeshua will ride in bringing justice. This will bring in the New Jerusalem.
MATT 24: 27-31
All of these are tied to one another as the first are shadows of the last. Yahweh wants us to be prepared for his coming. The feast is a reminder of His promises to us.
